Hospital Indemnity Insurance
If you're looking for an extra solution to enhance your current health
insurance coverage for
any possible hospitalization, physician visits, and surgeries, this may be
just what you're looking for.
Why Would I Need This Insurance?
Having health insurance can help protect your hard-earned savings. Hospital
Indemnity Insurance can help cover some of the costs associated with hospital
care. It can help protect your future, as well as your family's future, with
this important coverage. Health insurance is a good way to help pay the costs of
medical treatments that may be necessary, but most plans offered today don't pay
all the costs if your treatment requires an extended stay in the hospital. Even
just a couple of days in the hospital could be costly to you. Such things as
lost income, medicines and therapies can quickly add up.

Hospital Indemnity Insurance
Our hospital indemnity insurance, referred to as SHOP (Supplemental Health
Options Policy), because it is a plan you build yourself when you "shop" for
benefits that help satisfy your individual needs. For an additional premium
there are 9 optional riders available in addition to the base plan (may vary by
state). The base policy pays a daily benefit for hospital confinement. You
"shop" for additional benefits from a list that includes an initial
hospitalization, surgical and anesthesia, emergency room accident, inpatient,
outpatient, at-home nursing, transportation, accident disability, and specified
disease (cancer, heart attack and stroke) disability benefits. Simplified
underwriting makes applying for coverage easy.
Please note that these type of plans are NOT intended to replace your major
medical plan, but will enhance them.
You should consider Hospital Indemnity Insurance if:
You want to plan ahead for any future unforeseen hospitalization.
You need an extra plan to supplement your health insurance coverage.
You have little savings and an unexpected hospital stay could cause a major
financial burden to your family.
