We represent many different Medicare Supplement plans.
Traditional Plans. MedAdvantage Plans. Plans with No
premium. Plans that actually pay YOU! Every time you turn around
it seems there is a new plan available. If they are available in
Utah, we can get it for you.
Here is what I have learned from the countless Company
sponsered seminars and training classes: You get what you pay
for.
The basic concept is is this. You can pick a plan with
low, or no premium, and pay a very large amount if you are
hospitalized. Or you can pick a plan with a modest monthly
premium and you pay a lot less if you have a major medical
situation. It is your choice. Pay along the way, or pay a
large lump sum later.
As for prescription plans there are a lot of
differences between the plans available. Like the Medicare
Supplement plans, you can get some with no premium, modest
premium, or even some that pay you each month. Look
carefully at the number of medications that are on the list.
Some plans have as few as 150 drugs they cover. Others a few
hundred. We recommend the plan that covers all 6,000+
drugs available.
We recommend the Blue Cross Blue Shield MedAdvantage plan.
It costs $50/month for the Medical coverage, or
$82/month if you add the Prescription Part D plan. There
is an enhanced option that brings the cost to $91.50.

When can you apply for a Medicare Supplement Plan?
If you are turning 65,
or becoming eligible for Medicare due to disability, you
have a seven-month enrollment window. The seven-month
window consists of the three months prior to your
eligibility month, the month of your eligibility, and
three months after your eligibility. For example,
if you become eligible in April, you have from January
to July to sign up without filling out a health
questionnaire.
